The Turkish Art Platform — the Yunus Emre Institute's global project aiming to bring Turkish art and Turkey's aesthetic heritage together with the possibilities of the digital world — was launched with its official presentation, held for the first time on 19 November 2025 in Paris, the capital of France. Following this first step in Paris, promotional and operational work began in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in December 2025, as part of the second stage of the platform's international structuring.
The platform's global expansion continued into 2026; its UK debut took place on 10 February 2026 with the opening of the 8th Turkish Community Art Exhibition held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. Then, to strengthen its presence in Asia, the Turkish Art Platform also met with artists and art lovers in Japan through an official reception held at the Tokyo Yunus Emre Institute on 16 April 2026.
The Turkish Art Platform was created by the Yunus Emre Institute to make the historical depth, aesthetic sensibility and contemporary creative power of Turkish art visible on an international scale. The platform brings a rich heritage — spanning calligraphy, illumination, miniature, marbling, tilework and traditional handicrafts through to the various disciplines of contemporary art — together on a shared digital ground. By addressing the core values of Turkish aesthetics, such as elegance, proportion, harmony, balance and refinement, alongside today's artistic language, it helps keep this heritage alive in interaction with different cultures.
Bringing together artists, artist collectives, academics, researchers and culture-and-arts professionals working in traditional and contemporary art within a shared network, the platform enables artists to create their profiles, share their works and projects, and access events and open calls. For art lovers, it offers a reliable and accessible digital space in which to discover artists, works, exhibitions and culture-and-arts activities across different geographies.
Established between the Main Center and the Turkish Art Platform offices operating in different countries, this structure supports cross-country interaction, joint production and cultural collaborations while preserving the authenticity of local art circles. In this way, the living heritage of Turkish art and its distinctive aesthetic world turn into a sustainable international art network that grows and renews itself through encounters with different cultures.

Compliance
User data is processed only for registered purposes. Full addresses are not stored; only city / country level is used in the map view. Visibility preferences are under the user's control.
Critical actions are recorded in an immutable audit log. Data deletion requests are processed and resolved under KVKK.
